Greetings, Fellow Members!
July was one for the books! We celebrated our Nation's 250th Birthday, certified six new NRA Basic Pistol Instructors, and watched our trap shooters compete across the Pacific Northwest, bringing home trophies and bragging rights. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, participated, and represented our club so well!
As we head into August, we have another exciting month ahead. Here are a few important dates to keep on your calendar.

🎯 INVESTING IN OUR MEMBERS
Thank you to everyone who shared feedback regarding the three-day range closure in July. We understand that any range closure impacts our members, and those decisions are never made lightly.
The Board viewed this as an investment in the future of our club. During those three days, we certified six additional NRA Basic Pistol Instructors, expanding our ability to provide quality firearms education and training opportunities for our members.
This is especially important with Washington's new permit-to-purchase law taking effect in May 2027. By having qualified instructors in-house, our club will be able to offer the required training right here at your home range—and at a substantially lower cost than outside providers.
Our goal is simple: continue increasing the value of your membership while ensuring our club remains a leader in firearms education and safety.

🏆 PITA END OF SUMMER SHOOT
August 14–16 marks our final PITA shoot of the season. We will be welcoming shooters from across the Pacific Northwest as they prepare for the Grand Championship!
Volunteers Needed:
We are looking for a handful of volunteers to help throughout the weekend. A SignUpGenius link will be emailed out shortly. Even a couple of hours of your time helps make these events run smoothly!

🛑 Range Closed Means Closed: If the white STOP sign is posted at the entrance, the range is strictly closed. Please do not drive past the sign.

💳 Membership Renewals: Dues were due June 1. If you haven't renewed yet, please do so as soon as possible via your member login to keep your account active.
🚧 ☀️ TRAVEL ALERT: SR 169 DETOUR AHEAD
Please Note: As early as mid-August, WSDOT will temporarily close SR 169 between Plass Road and SE 332nd Street for approximately 35 days while crews complete fish-passage improvements.
A signed detour will be in place during construction—please budget extra travel time when coming to the range!
