🍂 Fall Is Here… And Things Are Still BUSY!

Wow… is it really September already?! 😳
I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the amazing weather we’ve had this summer and, most importantly, spend some time with family and friends.
It has been an ABSOLUTELY JAM-PACKED summer here at BDGC, and we’ve got plenty more happening as we head into fall!
🏆 WHAT A SUMMER!
🎯 PITA SHOOTS • ARA SHOOTS •
Did you know that BDGC hosted TWO PITA shoots this summer?
These events brought MORE THAN 200 SHOOTERS from across the Pacific Northwest through our gates! That’s a whole lot of shotguns, targets, and empty shells! 💥 These are fantastic events and a great opportunity to showcase some of the best trap shooters in the PNW.
And we didn’t stop there!
We also hosted several ARA .22 shoots, culminating in last weekend’s State ARA Shoot. Shooters from across Washington came to BDGC to compete and put their skills to the test. Next up, many of these shooters will head to Nisqually for the Regional Shoot, where they’ll compete for a chance to earn a spot at the National Shoot. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF OUR SHOOTERS!

🔄 HAVE YOU RENEWED YOUR MEMBERSHIP?
September is here, which means membership renewal time is WAY overdue. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, please take care of it online or in person as soon as possible. Starting October 1st, members who have not renewed will be assessed a late fee and their access badge will be shut off. Nobody likes late fees. Nobody likes a shut-off badge. Let’s avoid both! 😁
🎯 WE NEED YOU! — MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR WANTED!
Love the club? Like meeting new people? Want to get a little more involved? We’ve got a spot for you! We’re looking for a new Membership Coordinator to help welcome our newest members and get them started on the right foot. 🤝
📝 What Does the Membership Coordinator Do?
You’ll be responsible for the intake and scheduling of all new member orientations. You’ll be one of the first friendly faces our new members connect with and help make sure their introduction to the club is a great one!
✅ Who Can Volunteer?
• Must be a current club member (for at least 6 months)
• Organized, friendly, and willing to help
• Ready to have a little fun and help our club grow! 😎

🪪 YOUR BADGE = YOUR BADGE (PLEASE DO NOT LOAN IT OUT!)
Your membership badge is assigned to YOU. Please do not loan it to friends, family members, or anyone else. Sharing your badge creates a situation that is no fun for anyone.
And remember: BRING YOUR BADGE WHEN YOU COME TO SHOOT!
• If you arrive without your badge, you will be required to pay the full shooting fee.
• If the range is operating as members-only, you will be turned away.
Save yourself the hassle—grab your badge before you head out the door!
🗓️ BEFORE YOU HEAD TO THE RANGE… CHECK THE CALENDAR!
Before making the trip to the club, PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR. Make sure:
• ✅ The range is open
• ✅ An RSO is scheduled
• ✅ There isn’t a special event or closure
• ✅ You know what’s happening that day
A quick calendar check can save you a wasted trip!
🛑 SEE THE A-FRAME? STOP!
This is an important safety reminder. If you see the white A-frame sign that says:
👉 “STOP — TRAINING IN PROGRESS — DO NOT PASS”
That sign means exactly what it says. Thank you for helping us keep BDGC a safe place for everyone.
🦺 WE NEED YOU! BECOME A RANGE SAFETY OFFICER
BDGC is still looking for members who are interested in becoming Range Safety Officers (RSOs). RSOs are a huge part of keeping our club safe and our ranges operating. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to Eric Cowperthwaite, Chief RSO at ecowper@gmail.com.
🎓 COMING SOON: The club will soon be offering NRA RSO classes for members interested in becoming certified. More information coming soon!
💡 GOT AN IDEA? THIS IS YOUR CLUB — SPEAK UP!
We’re always looking for ways to make BDGC better, safer, and ahead of the curve. Have an idea? See something we could improve? Have a suggestion for a new program or event? We want to hear from you! Reach out to me or any member of the Board of Trustees.
And remember, we hold a GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING on the Third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Clubhouse. Come out, ask questions, share ideas, and get involved! Your membership gives you a voice—use it!
